Imaginario AI and Ortana Media Group Partner to Supercharge Video Workflows with AI-Native Indexing and Automation https://imaginario.ai/wide-lens/press/imaginario-ai-and-ortana-media-group-partner-to-supercharge-video-workflows-with-ai-native-indexing-and-automation/ Thu, 14 Aug 2025 12:45:34 +0000 https://imaginario.ai/?p=1875

LONDON, 14th August 2025 — Ortana Media Group, creators of the Cubix Media Aware Workflow Engine (MAWE), today announced a strategic technology integration with Imaginario.ai, the company behind the Cetus™ AI engine, a next-generation platform for multimodal video understanding, smart search, and AI-powered editing. This collaboration combines Ortana’s robust media orchestration and automation layer with Imaginario’s AI-native infrastructure, empowering media organisations to turn raw video into enriched, discoverable, and production-ready content with unprecedented speed and scale.

A Leap Forward in Video Intelligence & Orchestration

Designed for streaming services, post houses, broadcasters, and corporate marketing teams, the integration delivers a future-ready solution that:

1. High-accuracy multimodal indexing at scale – Powered by Imaginario’s proprietary Cetus™ engine, the system performs advanced scene understanding, shot detection, facial analysis, object recognition, speech-to-text, ambient sound and SFX detection, logo recognition, OCR, image-to-video matching, and multilingual transcription.

2. Automated end-to-end workflows – Through Ortana’s Cubix MAWE, the integration orchestrates ingest, AI tagging, metadata enrichment, transcoding, and asset movement across hybrid or cloud environments — reducing manual effort and accelerating turnaround.

3. Deep semantic search and dynamic discovery – Enables users to quickly find and repurpose scenes or moments, regardless of archive size, file format, or content type.

4. API-native and modular by design – Offers seamless integration into existing MAM/PAM ecosystems or as a standalone solution — supporting flexible, cloud-agnostic deployments.

5. Explainable AI with scene-level captioning – Generates descriptive scene captions and match scoring to clarify how content is indexed — enhancing transparency, user trust, and tagging accuracy.

Unlocking the Value of Video at Scale

This joint solution enables post-production, marketing, and archive teams to spend less time rewatching content and more time creating. Whether for programmatic content creation, social repackaging, contextual advertising, or large-scale archive revitalisation, teams can now:

– Search video by who, what, where, when, and even why, using multimodal prompts.
– Automatically surface the best moments for highlights, trailers, ad inventory, and shorts, all within existing workflows.
– Push enriched assets directly into cloud storage and post-production tools like Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.

The integration is available immediately and supported across Cubix Yunify, Appliance, Halo, and Connect. It is already being evaluated by several broadcasters and content providers in Europe and North America.

June 2024 product update: Framing, branding, even more speed https://imaginario.ai/wide-lens/product/june-2024-product-update-framing-branding-even-more-speed/ Tue, 16 Jul 2024 13:24:44 +0000 https://imaginario.ai/?p=1574

There was a famous study by Google in 2009 that showed that even teeny tiny changes to the speed of web apps (as small as 100ms) had a measurable impact on users’ satisfaction with those apps. Keeping web apps fast while dealing with production-quality video has always been incredibly tricky due to the enormous file sizes involved, and it’s a challenge the industry continues to tackle head-on.

With this in mind, this month we deployed a slew of speed optimizations that will make your Imaginario AI experience faster than ever – in some of our testing we’ve reduced load times by over 50%! Specifically, we’ve:

  • Re-worked some of our backend services to use autoscaling more aggressively, so you won’t notice any speed reduction when we’re seeing periods of high demand.
  • Implemented some new adaptive bitrate video streaming tech that means your search results will load faster than ever.

But that’s not all! We also added two new much-requested Clip Studio features.

New resizing UI

We added manual clip resizing back in April, and this month we launched the updated, better-than-ever version 2. Now, instead of dragging handles to resize you frame, you can adjust zoom levels in the UI, keeping your view of the clip full height, letting you get that pixel-perfect framing.

Branding and watermarks

For those customers with strict video guidelines, you can finally tell your brand team to relax. You can now upload your logo and place it wherever you want in your clip.

You can see a demo of both of these new features in the video below.

May 2024 product update: video chapters & Dropbox integration https://imaginario.ai/wide-lens/product/may-2024-product-update-video-chapters-dropbox-integration/ Sat, 01 Jun 2024 13:00:02 +0000 https://imaginario.ai/?p=1536

This month we finished our integrations blitz off with Dropbox, meaning we now integrate with the storage and collaboration providers used by over 90% of our customers! As a reminder, you can now import your videos from:

  • Amazon Web Services
  • Google Drive
  • YouTube
  • Frame.io
  • Dropbox

And export your videos to:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Da Vinci Resolve

We know how important streamlined workflows are to the creators and production pros who use our platform, so we’re always looking for ways to get you in and out of Imaginario as quickly and efficiently as possible. We’ve got some more awesome time-saving tools coming in the next few months, which we can’t wait to share with you.

Video chapters

A small-but-mighty update to our transcription and highlight-to-edit functionality, you can now clip videos based on AI-generated chapters. Simply click the new “Chapters” option in the highlight to edit section.

A screenshot showing where to access the Chapters option

This feature is yet another designed to help you get from full-length video to highlights as fast as possible, and breaks your video into logical chapters which you can then select, either to clip in their entirety or as the basis for further edits. I important the Brazil v Germany game from the 2014 World Cup, and our system generated these chapters:

Introduction
The video starts with an introduction to the World Cup semi-final match of 2014 between Brazil and Germany.

First Shot and Breakthrough
Marcello takes the first shot of the game for Brazil, but it goes wide. Germany scores the first goal through Thomas Muller, causing concern for Brazil.

Record-Breaking Goal
Miroslav Klose scores his 16th goal in World Cup finals, surpassing Ronaldo’s record. Brazil is in trouble as Germany secures a 2-0 lead.

German Dominance Continues
Germany continues to dominate the match, scoring three more goals in quick succession. The Brazilian team is crestfallen and the crowd is stunned.

Brazil’s Struggle and Germany’s Superiority
Brazil tries to make a comeback but faces a strong German defense. Germany extends their lead with two more goals, leading to Brazil’s heaviest defeat in history.

Consolation Goal and Disbelief
Oscar scores a consolation goal for Brazil. The Brazilian supporters are left in disbelief, unsure of how to react to the devastating defeat.

Germany’s Victory
The referee blows the final whistle, securing Germany’s place in the World Cup final. Brazil’s defeat leaves the crowd in total disbelief.

Conclusion
Jorge Loewside’s Germany will play in the World Cup final against either the Netherlands or Argentina.

Simply choose a chapter to clip that section of the video – easy!

Speed improvements

We’ve also been making even more speed improvements this month, including more cacheing for our AI models in the backend, and more adaptive bitrate video streaming on the frontend, making your experience faster than ever before!

April 2024 product update: Frame.io, YouTube and Google Drive https://imaginario.ai/wide-lens/product/april-2024-product-update-frame-io-youtube-and-google-drive/ Wed, 08 May 2024 10:00:27 +0000 https://imaginario.ai/?p=1430

April was an amazing month for the Imaginario team – we attended NAB Show 2024, we all got together to hang out and strategize in beautiful Tunis, and we shipped yet more new features to make your workflows even faster. Here’s everything that’s new this month.

Frame.io integration

Lots of our users are big fans of the Adobe ecosystem (us too!), and you’ve been telling us you want more ways to plug into their video tools. So after shipping Premiere integration last month we moved right along to the second-most-requested plugin, Frame.io. For those of you unfamiliar, Frame.io is an awesome collaborative tool for working on video projects with teams. You can now authorize your account and pull videos straight into Imaginario from Frame.io.

Like our other integrations, this is available from the top navigation bar. Just log in with your Frame.io creds and you’re good to go!

We also updated our Premiere export to allow for export of multiple clips in a single project. So if you’re creating five or 10 clips from longer video(s), your Premiere export will now arrive as a single .xml file, so you can keep everything in the same project.

Manual resizing in Magic Clips

Finally, you are no longer stuck with full-height videos when transforming in Magic Clips! Just grab the handles and change the video size to whatever your heart desires.

Just keep in mind if you’re working with a lower resolution clip, punching in will reduce the resolution even further if you upload the clip to TikTok, Instagram, or any other platform which automatically upscales the clip to full-screen.

YouTube and Google Drive integration

After the Adobe stack, Google’s ecosystem is the place our customers do the most work. We’ve supported YouTube link import for a long time, but these new integrations allow you to view and selectively import videos from your YouTube channel or any Google Drive folder.

For now you can only use these integrations for import, but don’t worry, pushing clips to these platforms is coming soon!

Easy compilations with blended topics

If you’re someone who uses our discovery features to search through your catalogue for topics and themes (for example, finding the perfect clips for your social channels for Mother’s Day), you now have the option to search for similar topics across your entire library, rather than just within single videos. The perfect way to create highlight reels or compilations!

You’ll find the Topic Blender toggle within the Topics screen when you search for topics within 2 or more videos.

Faster navigations, faster video processing

We know speed is important, so we made some visually-small but functionally-large changes to navigation and processing this month. You’ll now find editing via transcript and Clip Studio available in the main navigation, and via a bit of back-end magic you’ll also find your imported videos are processing faster than ever before.

Until next month!

March 2024 product update: more integration with your workflows https://imaginario.ai/wide-lens/product/march-2024-product-update/ Tue, 02 Apr 2024 13:33:19 +0000 https://imaginario.ai/?p=1332

It’s been a busy few weeks for our product and development teams, and we’ve shipped some great new features recently to make your video search and repurposing experience faster and easier than ever. One thing we always hear from our customers is that they want their workflows to be as seamless as possible, so a big focus for us recently has been how we can make Imaginario AI fit into the flows and processes you’re already using.

Magic Clips

This is more than just a feature, this is a whole new way to use Imaginario AI. By combining several of our AI features into one workflow, you are able to auto-generate shareable portrait clips from long-form content in a single click.

Magic Clips uses our dialogue recognition to detect themes and conversation topics within your videos, then pick out the key lines and shareable snippets. Then, it uses face detection to center the subjects in the frame (even across multiple cuts), and adds animated captions. Export the clips you like, and you’re good to go.

We’ve built Magic Clips with TikTok in mind, but it will work equally well for Reels, YouTube Shorts, or any other portrait video platform.

AWS integration

For our larger clients, integration with their existing infrastructure is super important. We’ve been speaking to our users to identify which integrations are most valuable for them, and this month we rolled out the first direct connection to Amazon Web Services S3 buckets.

So, if you’re storing lots of video files in AWS, importing them into our platform is now as simple as securely connecting your bucket and choosing which files to import for processing. For the power users out there:

  • You can choose to connect an entire bucket, or just a folder within that bucket
  • You can connect more than one bucket and easily toggle between each
  • For those who want to use their processing minutes wisely, you can choose to import every video within a bucket (or folder), or manually select which videos are imported
  • You can disconnect a bucket whenever you like, and the imported videos will remain in your Imaginario account
  • There are no limits on the number of AWS connections or the number of files within a connected bucket

XML export for Adobe Premiere & Da Vinci Resolve

You can do more editing than ever in our platform, but we know we’re never going to be where the pros go to do their edits. So, this month we launched a much-asked-for feature for our pro editor users – you can now export the clips you create in Imaginario in .xml format, and open them up in Adobe Premiere or Da Vinci Resolve for extra editing.

This is also a great option for people who work with proxies and want to recreate their Imaginario clips in higher resolutions.

A screenshot preview of Adobe Premiere export in Imaginario AI
A screenshot showing how to export a clip to XML format in Imaginario AI

Simply click the Premiere export button wherever you see it within the platform, and you’ll get an .xml file containing all your edits, which you can relink to your local version to finish your edits in Premiere or Da Vinci Resolve.

More happening, and much more to come

We also deployed plenty of invisible changes this month, including backend optimizations which speed up the processing of videos and give us greater capacity to process large amounts of video simultaneously. We’ve got plenty of exciting updates coming in the next few weeks and months, including:

  • New search modalities that let you find exactly what you’re looking for across more types of video
  • Even more integrations with third-party services
  • Extra support for more file formats
  • A completely refreshed UI

Stay tuned!
